Is It Fall Yet?

Maybe it’s a little early, but I can’t help but be excited for fall. Fall is my favorite time of the year! The trees change colors, the air chills and.. well who am I kidding, I live in San Diego. No season change here. But, after living near a forest for three years in northern California, I grew very fond of fall and have carried it with me all the way down the 101.

Aside from the weather, the romantic feeling in the air and pumpkin spice lattes, I can’t wait for fall to change out my wardrobe and break out the boots. Don’t get me wrong, I loved changing up my summer clothes for festival season and sunny San Diego. In fact, these were a few of my favorite buys this summer:

Coral Sundresses

Mint Pants
Fadora’s & Bathing Suits
Luckily, there is a fall version for each of these:

And don’t forget these fall essentials:

Beanies & Hats

Knee Highs & Stockings
Maxi Skirts

Las Vegas Attire (optional)

In only a few days, I will be leaning up against a cushioned table, trying not to inhale smoke while holding my 2-foot margarita in one hand and throwing lucky dice in the other.

For my boyfriend’s 25th birthday, twelve of our friends will be joining us in a wild weekend of Vegas mishap. Aside from hangovers and upset bank accounts, that only means one thing: shopping! As any woman would agree, I need a couple of new dresses, a new pair of shoes and some accessories for this special vacation. Being that it is February, it is going to be chilly, really chilly at night walking club to club, casino to casino. You have to dress appropriately. And if you’re wondering what you are wearing is “too much“’s Vegas for crying out loud, ROCK IT!

today’s closetcast: simply silky DSC_0038

With all these amazing winter sales going on, it’s tough looking into your own closet and not feeling a bit uninspired. Ever come across that? I am going to be doing a major closet clean out in a few days… hopefully to make room for more new and exciting pieces to add to my life – and the blog!

It’s a beautiful day here by the coast today. Chilly but sunny and clear. My trusty Equipment blouse never lets me down and looks good with everything. These Theyskens’ Theory wedges are a dream, so comfortable… BUT, very very high. Watch out for any uneven curbs or you’ll go flying. Trust me!

Happy Monday everyone!

Ignore the mess. Today is all about simple business. The coral cotton blazer
screams casual success while the plain white tee matches the white hems
on the skin tight navy blue jeans (with a secret pinup cartoon on the inside pocket). To continue
the simple white look, take a peak at the white and gold accessories, only two, and just enough. Gold and white compliment pink’s new best friend: Coral. Coral has been big since spring and has not plans of leaving as the pastel fashion is getting as big as ever.

What do you think?
